Greetings ladies and gents! Wow...it's actually been over a year since I last posted! My how time flies...this is helping me to realize the importance of having a routine! But anyway...that's another topic altogether! I'm so happy and thankful to be back!

I was inspired to write this post because during a recent tv interview I heard the very talented Jerry Lorenzo say, "I like clothes. But it's really empty if that's what I came here to do." Such a simple statement...but a very powerful one nonetheless! Jerry's words truly resonated in my spirit because I often find myself feeling the same way. But I was having a difficult time articulating my feelings in such a simple...but profound way!

Don't get me wrong...I love what I do! I've been in the fashion industry since the age of 14 when I started modeling and over the years my involvement in this beautiful but very superficial industry has taken on many forms. I've literally gone from model to boutique owner/operator/buyer to fashion student to fashion designer to fashion entrepreneur to what I believe may be turning into a touch of fashion activism to preparing for whatever God has next for me....

One thing I've learned is that most people LOVE clothes and anything that falls under the category of FASHION...MYSELF INCLUDED!!!!

But more imporantly, none of the titles I've held, things I've accomplished in my fashion career or obtaining my favorite pieces of fashion have been as significant as touching the lives of the people that God strategically put me in the fashion industry to cross paths with. I've had the opportunity to see God be a healer for people I've met that were sick in their minds and bodies. I've had the privelege of leading unbelievers to salvation through Jesus Christ. I've had the opportunity to be a voice for those that were afraid to speak because they didn't know that if God is for them who could be against them (that's the activist in me-I get it from my grandma)! Not bragging...just thankful. So many experiences...so many stories to tell. All the while CLOTHES (FASHION) have only been the backdrop for my assignment here on this earth! Go figure! God has such a sense of humor!

So I would love to share some of the fashion world adventures I've expeirenced in my upcoming blog post and keep you all up to date on what God is doing in my life, career and the development of my brand (AKA my God given assignment)! God Bless you all and float through like a feather! I know I said "God" alot...but it's all about Him anyways!

P.S. Please feel free to post in the comments other fashion related topics you would like me to blog about. Also, please send me stories of how CLOTHES (FASHION) were the "backdrop" in one of your significant life experiences.  I look forward to hearing from you!
